Here at Golden Dog Sled Adventures we run a mix of Pure Bred Siberian Huskies as well as Alaskan Huskies.
Siberian Huskies can pull a great deal of weight over long distances. With big, fluffy, strong bodies, these dogs were built for winter and pulling our sleds. Big, furry paws and coats keep these guys going in the coldest of conditions. The Alaskan husky is essentially a mutt. They are a mix of Greyhound, Pointer, Collie and Siberian Husky. We do this for the speed, Stamina and lightweight build of the hound, as well as the strength and resilience to low temperatures of the Siberian Husky. In our dogs you can see a very diverse range from pointy, curly, fluffy traits of the husky to the tall, slender build of the hound.
